STATISTICA 9.1 offers many new, unique features and added functionality to the entire STATISTICA product line.
Multi-Threading STATISTICA Spreadsheet operations, data management, and analyses were augmented to support multi-threading. Multi-threading is the efficient use of multiple process cores or multiple processors for enhanced speed and performance. StatSoft's review of the multithreading support show an incredible impact on the processing time with common data management operations and analyses when using dual-core/dual-processor or quad-core/quad-processor computers.
Deployment of Models to SAS Code STATISTICA Data Miner now supports the ability to export trained models to SAS code. The following STATISTICA modules support deployment to SAS Code:
Survival Analysis The Survival Analysis module was enhanced to remove all practical limitations in the number of cases and variables that can be analyzed.
Tweedie Distribution in Generalized Linear Models (GLZ) The Tweedie distribution is actually a family of distributions belonging to the class of exponential dispersion models such that the variance is of the form Var(Y) = φμP, where φ > 0 is the dispersion/scale parameter and μ is the mean. P must be in the interval (-∞, 0] U [1, ∞).
In STATISTICA, you can specify Tweedie as a distribution for a generalized linear model with the index parameter between 1 and 2. This allows you to model a distribution that is continuous for values greater than 0 with a mass at 0. This type of mixture distribution is also called a Poisson-Gamma distribution.
STATISTICA Enterprise / QC STATISTICA Enterprise /QC now supports one-sided control limits and one-sided specification limits. This feature is relevant for processes or tests where only the upper bound or lower bound is of interest.
STATISTICA Multivariate Statistical Process Control (MSPC) The STATISTICA MSPC workflow and integration with STATISTICA Enterprise /QC was augmented to provide even better support for online MSPC applications. In addition, STATISTICA Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) functions are now integrated into the STATISTICA MSPC capabilities for the typical data pre-processing, aggregation, and transformation needs involved in offline and online multivariate analyses.
Spreadsheet Audit Trails STATISTICA Spreadsheet Audit Trails now allow user-entered entries and comments. A user-entered entry into the Spreadsheet Audit Trail is useful for those situations in which a note about the context of the changes is useful in addition to the entries of the individual specific changes.
